Engineer position in DTI development
09/12/2011The medical imaging laboratory at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics has
recently been awarded a two-year FAPESP grant on the development of novel DTI analysis
methods for the assessment of potential diffusion markers for bipolar disease. This project is a
collaboration with the Institute of Psychiatry at the School of Medicine of the University of São
Paulo, Brazil and the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Harvard University.
This entails a position for a lead developer of DTI related image analysis and visualization
algorithms within the MedSquare software platform (http://www.medsquare.org). The applicant
must have a doctorate degree or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years) in image processing
and/or analysis and have a solid experience in C++ programming. Knowledge of Python and VTK
is highly desirable. Good math and physics skills a plus. The candidate must be able to communicate
effectively in both portuguese and english, and have good interpersonal relationship skills.
Location: São Paulo, SP, Brazil.
